Renewable energy - what we do

At G.R. Edwardes we will come to your property and discuss your requirements with you, we will take measurements and explain the different advantages of our systems for your individual project. We will then provide you with a written quotation, specification and energy yield calculation for the proposed system. This is all carried out free with no obligation and carried out by our own professional and skilled team.

Domestic RHI

On the 9th April 2014 the Government announced the long awaited details of the Domestic RHI scheme. Click on the following links to read more information about the scheme from the OFGEM website:

Solar PV

Solar Photovoltaic (known as Solar PV) converts light into electricity, which you are then free to use within your home/business or sell it back to the grid. A domestic system could save you more than £1000 per year, every year for 20 years (tax free and index linked). Read more...

Solar PV-T
Solar PV-T is more efficient than normal PV and also gives you the option of hot water. It is more efficient than standard Solar PV. Read more...

Solar Thermal

Solar thermal collectors, collect heat from the Sun and use it to heat water which can be stored and used in your home or business when needed. This means that your boiler or other heat source uses less fuel, saving you money and doing your bit to help the environment. Read more...

Air Source Heat Pumps

Heat your home with energy absorbed from the air around you. Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the air and this can be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or warm air convectors and hot water in your home. Read more...

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground source heat pumps are similar to air source heat pumps but work through pipes buried in the garden to extract heat from the ground. This can then be used to heat radiators or underfloor heating systems and also your hot water. Read more...

Micro Combined Heat and Power (CHP)

Micro CHP is the simultaneous production of heat and electricity together in the same home. The micro CHP unit replaces the gas central heating boiler and provides heat and hot water as usual, but additionally provides the majority of the home's electricity needs. Although individual units produce relatively small amounts of electricity, the significance of micro CHP lies in the potentially huge numbers of systems which may ultimately be installed in the millions of homes in the UK and other European countries where natural gas is currently the dominant heating fuel.
